Stonebridge Partners Announces the Successful Sale of Cast-Crete

Stonebridge Partners (“Stonebridge”) is pleased to announce the successful sale of Cast-Crete Holdings, LLC (“Cast-Crete” or the “Company”) in November 2021. Since acquiring Cast-Crete in January 2017, Stonebridge supported the management team in its strategic growth plan, including the construction of a new fabrication facility in Sarasota, Florida, adding state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, and the acquisition of a concrete contracting business. Cast-Crete’s earnings increased more than 400% during Stonebridge’s ownership of almost five years.

Cast-Crete, headquartered in Seffner, Florida, is a leading vertically integrated manufacturer and distributor of residential building products serving the Florida market. The Company offers a wide range of essential building products which include precast concrete lintels and sills, truss anchors, rebar, mesh, mortar, curbing and sidewalks. Cast-Crete offers best-in-class logistics and serves the most preferred areas of the high-growth Florida residential housing market which has made the Company the preferred partner to leading homebuilders in the region. Stonebridge was first introduced to Cast-Crete by Washington Partners (, an advisor hired by the Company to find an investor with substantial operating expertise and industry knowledge, which would enable the family-owner to exit the business upon a sale. As part of the 2017 acquisition, Stonebridge recruited a well-known industry veteran and former executive from a previous Stonebridge portfolio company, Jim Connelly, to be CEO and President. Jim and the Cast-Crete management team demonstrated a keen ability to expand the Company’s operations and achieve consistent growth throughout Stonebridge’s ownership.

Stonebridge’s institutional investors included RCP Advisors, Onex Falcon, Stockwell Capital, and Promus Holdings. Former Cast-Crete owner, Shea Hughes, was also a meaningful investor alongside Stonebridge. Senior financing during Stonebridge’s ownership was provided by Truist Bank as lead arranger. BlackArch Partners LLC was the exclusive sell-side advisor and Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal counsel to Cast-Crete.
